Ms. Anh and Ms. Tuyet are truly inspiring teachers, incredible motivators, and amazing companions on my SAT journey.

I am a student at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted in Phu Yen. In my province, there hasn’t been much of a movement for taking the SAT, but some of my seniors from previous years have scored above 1550. I admired them a lot but thought it would be too difficult to achieve such a high score. Because of that, the SAT was never part of my exam plans. However, at the beginning of 2024, when a lot of news came out about changes to the national high school graduation exam and university admissions for 2k7 students in 2025, I decided to add the SAT to my plan and find a way to conquer it. 1. Registering for the Course At first, I planned to self-study to save money. But after trying out a few practice tests online, I was completely overwhelmed. The SAT was nothing like the national excellent student exams or IELTS. 🥹 So, I knew I needed guidance from experienced teachers. After researching several online courses and getting a recommendation from a friend who had studied at MADS, I enrolled in two combo courses, PRE2405 and SC2410, in May 2024 to prepare for the November 2024 exam. In my opinion, it’s best to register for both the Foundation and Sprint courses for maximum effectiveness. Even throughout my studies and up to the moment I received my 1590 score, I realized that enrolling in both courses was the right decision. If you only take the Foundation course, it’s hard to keep up with the Sprint course exercises. 2. Course Content The course covers a wide range of common SAT question types, including some that are even more challenging than actual SAT questions. Instead of memorizing answers, both teachers provided in-depth analysis, helping us develop the right mindset and confidence to tackle even the most difficult questions. Beyond the in-class lessons, there were countless practice exercises available on the system and additional resources. You can do as many as you want! If you don’t complete enough exercises, you won’t be allowed to join the EXTRA class. 🥹 3. Class Schedule The classes were entirely online in the evenings, making it very convenient—twice a week. As the exam approached, additional classes were scheduled, including 5 AM and 9 PM sessions. I still remember the night before the test—our teachers were online with us until nearly midnight. My mom even joked that we were preparing for the exam like soldiers going into battle. 🥹 4. Teachers Ms. Ánh (English) and Ms. Tuyết (Math) are simply outstanding, top-tier, and absolutely incredible! 💖 Their knowledge is deep, their teaching methods are excellent, and they are extremely dedicated. For English, Ms. Ánh provided thorough explanations, ensuring that we not only got familiar with different question types but also truly understood the language concepts. There were days when she had a cold and was coughing a lot, but she still passionately explained everything to us. For Math, Ms. Tuyết had so many amazing problem-solving tricks! Her methods didn’t just help us excel in SAT Math but also proved useful for our regular school math classes. I am deeply grateful to both of them. 💖 5. Class Management This is an area where my mom (who is also a teacher) gives MADS a 5-star rating. The study plans and students’ progress are updated weekly for parents. Besides Ms. Ánh and Ms. Tuyết, there were also support teachers who reminded us to stay on track with our assignments. If I ever missed a class, didn’t complete my homework, or didn’t score well, my mom would receive a notification immediately. So, there was no room for slacking off! These are just some of my experiences. Personally, I believe Ms. Ánh and Ms. Tuyết are truly amazing teachers who inspire and motivate their students throughout the SAT journey. 🫂 Of course, you need to be diligent, never skip lectures, and master the analysis and thinking strategies for each question type. You should also dedicate time to practice exercises to reinforce what you’ve learned. And don’t forget to pray to the heavens for a little “luck” too!

Scored 1550 on her First Attempt

"The teachers' questions really pushed my thinking skills to the limit, and sometimes I felt like my brain was exploding. But once I understood them, my progress skyrocketed..." First of all, I have to give the center 10 billion points for the following reasons: The price is unbelievably cheap compared to the number and quality of lessons. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and supportive. The class has a lot of students, yet they always find time to check in, encourage, and personally message each one of us—I still don’t understand how they manage to do that! The Webtest system is top-notch! The interface is designed to closely resemble the real SAT exam. The center is also super considerate, always listening to student feedback and improving the platform accordingly. An overwhelming amount of high-quality materials. I only studied for two months, yet I felt like I was losing my hair from the mountain of practice tests from the teachers. 😭 I took three courses at MADS: one SC2412 course and two Extra 1 & 2 courses for the December exam. Even though I had a solid foundation and had been self-studying for some time before joining MADS, I still felt completely overwhelmed in my first few lessons. The knowledge taught in the SC course was entirely new to me, so it took a while to catch up. Not to mention, the Official, Practice, and Mini tests were extremely challenging. But don’t get discouraged! The teachers' questions are designed to sharpen your thinking skills, and while they can feel brain-melting at first, once you grasp them, your progress will accelerate rapidly. When I got into the Extra class, I was even more shocked by the sheer volume of assignments and extra lessons (several times more than the SC course!). Plus, MADS has super active and friendly discussion groups, making learning much more engaging. Shoutout to the amazing teaching assistants—love you all! ❤️

Aiming for 1450 on My First Take but Got “Buffed” to 1530 – A 230-Point Increase from my baseline

Hello everyone, I am a math major, and before discovering DSAT, I had already achieved a 7.5 IELTS with an 8.5 in Reading. Before finding Ms. Ánh Dạy SAT, I had been self-studying for about a month. Every weekend, I took a Practice Test on Bluebook, but after 3-4 tests, my score remained stagnant (hovering around 13xx). That’s when I decided to look for a reputable SAT prep center, and following the “signals of the universe,” I chose MADS 🗿
And honestly, my experience at MADS was nothing like I expected...
1️. About Ms. Ánh and Ms. Tuyết
The common trait of both teachers is that they are too caring and dedicated to their students. There were days when I got depressed after scoring only 13/27 on a Practice Test, yet Ms. Ánh always encouraged me and gave me advice on how to manage my time and mindset better. There were times when I made incredibly silly mistakes in Official Math, but Ms. Tuyết never scolded me—she simply reminded me to avoid those traps on test day. Especially during the waiting period for my scores—the most stressful time for me—Ms. Tuyết always checked in on me and listened to my concerns, even though she was super busy herself.
In class, even though each Sprint session was supposed to be 1.5 hours, we often ended up studying for 2 hours, sometimes even 3. Not to mention, both teachers followed the “teach first, be sick later” mindset, so there were days when I only realized they were unwell at the end of the lesson. To be honest, their energy and passion for teaching even turned someone like me—who used to go to bed at 9 PM—into a night owl, staying up until 11-12 AM and waking up at 5 AM for Extra classes.
As for their teaching methods, both teachers focused on thinking strategies rather than memorization or "predicting" the test. That’s why, instead of cramming new information until 2 AM the night before the exam, they only reminded us of what to bring to the test center, how to stay mentally strong, common mistakes we should avoid, and a few predicted questions. Then, they told us all to go to bed early so we could perform our best the next day.
2. About Mr. Kelvin Nguyen and Mr. Tony
Luckily, I always completed my assignments, so I never got called out by Mr. Tony hehe. As for Mr. Kelvin, he was always super patient when fixing Webtest issues (sorry for the times my old laptop lagged out :v).
3. About Webtest and MADS’ Question Bank
At MADS, I got to experience an interface that was 90% similar to Bluebook, including features like Cross-out, Desmos, etc.. Additionally, Webtest had Chart Category, which helped me identify my weak areas so I could focus on improving them. There were so many different practice modes (Daily Basis, Vocab Series, Homework…), and I swear, I still haven’t been able to finish them all 🥲.
The Official Tests, Practice Tests, and Mini Tests—which Ms. Ánh and Ms. Tuyết carefully curated to upgrade students’ thinking abilities—felt just as hard, if not harder than the real test 🙂 (both Verbal and Math). I never once scored above 20/27 on Ms. Ánh’s Official Verbal Tests, and I always got half the questions wrong on Mini Tests :)). Extra classes mostly used real past exams, which were, of course, a bit more manageable compared to the MADS questions hehe.
SO IN THE END, WHAT DO I HAVE TO EXPOSE MADS FOR?
1. Their care doesn’t match their tuition fees (because the teachers and staff are too dedicated, yet the price is way too affordable compared to other centers).
2. Class duration is much longer than advertised in the course description => Did not adhere to the original agreement 🐧.
3. The number/quality of practice tests and the Webtest interface never deserve a mere 10/10 (because they should actually be 100/10).
4. Did not help students achieve their original target score (I aimed for 1450 on my first take but got “buffed” to 1530, an increase of 230 points from my baseline—absolutely unacceptable 🐧).
So, if you want to just reach your goal and not exceed it after only two months of studying with the Sprint Course, then stay far away from MADS. If you're scared, go home 🤞

From Lost to Breakthrough – My SAT Journey with MADS

I first learned about the SAT at the beginning of my senior year, and I mostly studied on my own—without discipline and completely lost. Later, I decided to enroll in a course to have a clearer roadmap, a mentor, and classmates who could push me to improve faster. My choice was MADS because it had everything I needed.
1. The Two Amazing Teachers and Their Enormous Resource Bank
Ms. Anh, also known as "Taylor Swift" because everyone says her teaching is as captivating as Taylor’s music—confirmed, 100% true! SAT Reading isn’t just about simple comprehension; it requires understanding how information connects to form logical conclusions. Thanks to Ms. Anh’s enthusiastic explanations and in-depth analysis, I gained so much clarity after this course. Practicing tests and attending lessons helped me develop much stronger logical reasoning skills.
Ms. Tuyet was our Math guide. Her practice tests were top-tier! If you put in the effort, I genuinely believe an 800 in Math is totally within reach (unlike me, who wasn’t that diligent). I say this because her practice and private tests include advanced problems she crafted based on real SAT exams and trends—earning her the title "Prophet Nguyen Tuyet." My biggest fear in her class? Hearing her say, "Guys, this question is super interesting!" because that meant it was a brutal trick question, worse than any trap.
Speaking of tests, I have to mention their extensive collection of practice materials. The SAT only recently switched to digital in the US (where it originated), so quality resources aligned with the new format are still scarce. That’s why MADS’ exclusive web-based testing platform was an absolute lifesaver. There were endless practice tests, all structured precisely like the real exam, so I never felt lost while studying.
2. Incredible Study Buddies
We've all heard the saying, "You learn more from your peers than from your teachers." And it couldn’t be more true! MADS took this wisdom to heart by setting up discussion groups where students could exchange ideas, ask questions, and study together. Even better, both teachers were active in these groups, meaning we could discuss problems with them day and night—so awesome!
This was especially crucial when doing practice tests. Sometimes I thought I understood a concept, but in reality, I was way off. Having study buddies to discuss and correct my mistakes made a huge difference. Huge thanks to everyone! And why do I call them "superhumans"? Because not only were they incredibly smart, but also insanely hardworking. There were times I woke up at nearly 4 AM and still saw people discussing questions—I couldn’t even sleep after that!
3. Unbelievable Benefits
What I want to highlight here is the extra class—where you can keep learning for free until you reach your target score! Huhuhu, how can MADS be this good to us? Trust me, these extra classes are gold. Every session helped me understand things on a deeper level, and the content was always super relevant to the real SAT. As the test date approached, the two teachers kept us grinding until midnight—our "little children" (us students) were crying for mercy.
I noticed students in later courses sometimes got called out for not completing their extra class assignments. If you’re reading this, do them! Missing out would be such a waste.
Honestly, I can’t even put into words how amazing my experience with MADS was. Thank you to everyone who read this far. I hope you all achieve your dream scores! Wishing MADS even more success and sky-high student scores!
If you’re lost and don’t know where to go, have you made your choice yet? Full speed ahead to MADS!!!
